BELO HORIZONTE, Brazil -- Despite being a lopsided rout of a soccer power, Brazil has avoided a total shutout in the much-anticipated World Cup semifinal matchup.

Germany scored a barrage of early goals and led Brazil 7-0 with a 79th minute strike by forward Andre Schurrle, his second of the match. The five prior goals scored by the Germans in the first 29 minutes of the match is the fastest all time, according to ESPN.

But in an attempt to save Brazil from total humiliation, midfielder Oscar scored its lone goal just seconds before the game ended.

The score makes the most goals ever in a World Cup semifinal.

As Germany reveled - http://www.trainingzone.co.uk/search/reveled in the win that sends their team to play the winner in Wednesday's match between Argentina and Netherlands, Brazilians were left to wonder how their footballers -- the host team -- could lose so badly.

The day actually started out festive as the Brazilian faithful dressed up in their colorful outfits. Outwardly they expected nothing short of a win. But the nation's dream of World Cup glory quickly turned into a nightmare.

With star Neymar out injured, after fracturing a vertebra in his back in the quarterfinal win over Colombia, and team captain Thiago Silva suspended, Brazil played a lackluster game allowing Germany to dominate the field, providing little defense and less solace for their shocked countrymen.

Germany took an early lead, with Toni Kroos scoring twice in two minutes and Miroslav Klose adding his record-setting 16th career World Cup goal. Thomas Mueller and Sami Khedira also scored.

Kroos scored his first goal in the 25th minute, knocking in a cross from Philipp Lahm. He made it 4-0 a minute later, beating Brazil goalkeeper Julio Cesar after a defensive mistake from Fernandinho.

By the 29-minute mark, Germany led 5-0, meaning for all intents and purposes, 음성출장샵 - https://www.voiceanma.top/ the game was over.

At the beginning of the second half, Brazil did try to rev themselves up, but Schurrle's two goals made it all but obvious that this would be near complete domination. the Brazilian gentry and national pride left bewildered.

The Brazilian team had not lost a competitive match played on their home soil since 1975, but were left with one of the most humiliating losses in World Cup history.

"The problem is psychological," Brazil fan Fabio Fontes told the Associated Press. "It would be normal for the team to lose against Germany, but not in his fashion."

Brazil's government spent billions in preparation for the tournament and hopes were high that their team would win the final. At the same time, the money spent sparked protest over the extravagance at at a time the country is cash strapped and facing high crime.

During a Fan Fest viewing on Copacabana Beach, a gang rummaged through the crowd snatching jewelry and bags, making an already bad situation worse and magnifying the defeat, the AP reported.

The loss was historic, to say the least. It was Brazil's worst since losing to Uruguay 6-0 in the 1920 South American Championship of Nations. It's also the most goals Brazil has allowed in a World Cup match since 1938, when they actually beat Poland 6-5 at Paris.

"We wanted to make the people happy ... unfortunately we couldn't," defender David Luiz said, according to the AP. "We apologize to all Brazilians"

Brazil coach Luiz Felipe Scolari offered a deeper, more solemn apology. One that sums up the sorrow the country will no doubt feel for days to come: "Naturally, if I think about my life as a player and as a coach, I think this was the worst day of my life," he said. "I know I'll probably be remembered for losing 7-1 to Germany, for Brazil's worst loss. But it was a risk I knew I was taking. I have to take responsibility for it. Life must go on for everybody."

A report commissioned by British Exploring, which organized the trip, found that the tragedy "was caused by the rare occurrence of an intrusion of a starving polar bear into a camp situated well inland in Svalbard

LONDON - A British expedition leader says he tried to gouge a polar bear's eyes to stop it from attacking teens on an Arctic adventure trip.

Michael Reid recounted the attack at a coroner's inquest Tuesday into the death of 17-year-old Horatio Chapple, who was fatally mauled as he slept in a tent.

Four others were injured in the August 2011 attack in Norway's Svalbard archipelago, Arctic islands that are home to about 2,400 people and 아산출장마사지 - https://www.anmapop.com/%ec%95%84%ec%82%b0%ec%b6%9c%ec%9e%a5%ec%83%b5%cf... 3,000 polar bears.

The campers were in a group of 80 people, most of them between the ages of 16 and 23.

The bear attacked one of the groups, made up of 13 people, in the early morning, leaving them with moderate to severe wounds that included head injuries - http://www.buzzfeed.com/search?q=head%20injuries .

Another of the survivors of the attack, 16-year-old Patrick Flinders, had to undergo emergency surgery in Norway before returning to England to have the bear's teeth pulled from his skull.

Flinder's parents had thought their son had received lacerations and other wounds to his arms in the attack, and his father said at the time he only learned of the fractured skull and embedded teeth from doctors after the emergency surgery.

Reid told the inquest in Salisbury, southern England, that he rushed from his tent and tried to shoot the bear, but his rifle did not go off. Reid said the bear then attacked him.

"I thought the weakest part is the eyes so I tried to take out the eyes with my fingers, but was unsuccessful," he said.

When the bear released him, Reid grabbed the gun again. This time it fired, killing the animal.

In Britain, inquests are held to determine the facts in cases of violent or unexplained deaths. The inquest has heard about planning decisions that may have contributed to the death of Chapple, a student at the prestigious private school Eton College.

Trip leaders considered holding a bear watch overnight but decided against it because visibility was poor. A trip wire alarm system was set up but some parts were missing and it did not work perfectly.

A report commissioned by British Exploring, which organized the trip, found that the tragedy "was caused by the rare occurrence of an intrusion of a starving polar bear into a camp situated well inland in Svalbard. It was remote possibility, but not unforeseeable."

The inquest is due to continue Wednesday.

There have been so many such incidents that human rights groups and analysts have begun to doubt the military's version

SAN PEDRO LIMON, Mexico - Bullet marks and blood spatters on the walls inside a grain storage warehouse deep in the mountains of southern Mexico tell a grim story of death involving soldiers and alleged criminals. It may not be the same story officials tell, however.

Mexico's Defense Department says soldiers were patrolling in one of the most violent, lawless corners of the country on June 30 when they came under fire from a warehouse where a gang of 21 men and one woman were hiding. One soldier was wounded, but all of the suspects were killed.

The shootout was the most dramatic in a string of battles in which the army says criminals fired first at soldiers who then killed them all, while suffering few or no losses. There have been so many such incidents that human rights groups and 속초출장마사지 - https://www.sokchoopmassage.club/ analysts have begun to doubt the military's version.

"It raises suspicion, the simple fact that there were 22 dead on one side and one wounded on the other side," said security analyst Alejandro Hope, a former official in Mexico's domestic intelligence service.

In San Pedro Limon, pools of blood and bullet marks observed by Associated Press journalists three days after the shooting raise questions about whether all the suspects died in the gunbattle, or after it was over. The warehouse where many bodies were found showed little evidence of sustained fighting.

One witness who lives near the warehouse said he heard almost two hours of automatic gunfire and loud bangs during the pre-dawn hours of June 30. But he couldn't say if it came from the warehouse or from the forested hillsides around it. The man, who did not want to be identified for fear of reprisals, said he saw soldiers searching the hillsides after the shooting stopped.

Despite that heavy gunfire, only about six incoming rounds appeared to have hit the facade of the warehouse, the only part of the building with a window or door where soldiers likely would have been firing at people holed up inside.

There also were also no signs of continuous shooting inside the building, few bullet marks and no casings. But there was ample evidence of death. The floor was stained with pools of drying blood and scattered with pieces of numbered paper left by investigators to mark where cadavers were found.

At least five spots along the warehouse's inside walls showed the same pattern: One or two closely placed bullet pocks, surrounded by a mass of spattered blood, giving the appearance that some of those killed were standing against the wall and were hit by one or two shots at about chest level.

The distance - http://www.buzznet.com/?s=distance at which the fatal shots were fired has not made public by the Mexico State prosecutor's office, which is carrying out the autopsies. A state official said the office could not release the cause of death because it is a federal case, but a federal official denied that. Both officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak on the record.

The Mexican Defense Department did not respond to requests for comment.

Two observers of the United Nations' High Commission on Human Rights, who inspected the warehouse just moments before state authorities closed it off with police "no entry" tape, noted that they found no signs of stray bullets of the type that would be left by soldiers shooting automatic weapons from a distance.

Nor did they see signs of outgoing fire from within the warehouse.

"I also find that remarkable," said U.N. observer Tom Haeck, adding that no conclusions had yet been drawn, and that any report would be for U.N. internal use.

Scattered around the earthen floor of the warehouse were notebook paper investigators left to mark where the bodies had been found; most were close to the walls. There were also toothbrushes, medications and empty food containers, suggesting people had camped out there.

Employees of the Mexico State medical examiners' office, speaking on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to talk to the press, said the dead were mostly youths between the ages of 16 and 24, and were from neighboring Guerrero state. It's home to a drug gang known as Guerreros Unidos, which reportedly is battling the Michoacan-state-based La Familia cartel for control of drug routes in the area. Officials have declined to say which gang might have been involved with the warehouse.

The Mexican army's rules of engagement allow soldiers to fire on armed civilians only if the civilians fire first. In some cases there is evidence that heavily armed drug gangs have attacked the military. A convoy of troops and police came under fire on May 16 in Michoacan state; four soldiers were killed and several wounded. The military said two soldiers died in another Michoacan ambush in January. Five soldiers died in a 2007 ambush in the same state.

But far more common of late are cases in which soldiers say they came under fire and only the attackers were killed.

The army reported a May 8 clash in Zacatecas state in which troops killed seven armed men without taking casualties. In four cases in the span of a week in late April, officials said federal forces killed 12 men who attacked them, but suffered no casualties themselves. The army said troops killed 11 other alleged hit men who fired on them in the northern border state of Tamaulipas in 2010.

Hope, the security analyst, said he certainly doesn't want any more dead among the military. But in the case of San Pedro Limon, "it is important for there to be a thorough investigation, to dispel doubts or punish anyone who should be punished. I would prefer that (investigation) be done by a non-military agency."

It is hard to get residents here to speak on the record about the warehouse, because they say they fear the army or drug gangs who carry out kidnappings, extortion and murder and move openly in the area.

Days after the shooting, AP reporters in San Pedro Limon saw two youths dressed in jeans, T-shirts and black ammo belts, with AK-47 rifles at the ready standing guard beside a white SUV with tinted windows, and two more armed men inside, on the main street of San Pedro, just a few hundred yards from where state prosecutors were taping off the warehouse.

After the men drove away, townspeople who had been standing just a few feet away claimed not to even have seen the armed men.

Asked if the road ahead was safe, one truck-taxi driver who lives in the nearby town of Amatepec, noted that travelers were likely to be stopped by armed men on the road.

"They'll ask where you're from and what you're doing here. Tell them you're visiting relatives," said the man, helpfully supplying the name of a relative to back up the story.

Officials insist that Taiwan's outbreak is declining, and said Thursday's jump included 40 patients who earlier tested negative and were later reclassified as confirmed

A total of 29 people have died from the illness in Canada, reports Chris Mavridis of CBS Radio affiliate CFRB-AM.

The 62-year-old HP employee broke quarantine to go to work at the company's information processing plant in Markham, north of the Toronto, despite showing symptoms of SARS.

Health authorities called for a quarantine of the HP plant last month when they learned the man could have knowingly placed nearly 200 co-workers in danger. Authorities were considering charges against the man, but were waiting for him to be released from the hospital.

A Grade 11 student attended Father Michael McGivney Catholic Academy for three days with symptoms of SARS before health officials closed the school, sending the students and teachers into quarantine, a school board official said Wednesday.

Chris Cable of the York Catholic District School Board said the student "unknowingly" attended the school last week displaying symptoms.

"Right now our understanding is that the student is in stable condition but is ill," she said.

The boy is the son of a health-care worker. Both the boy and his parent were hospitalized this past weekend.

An editorial in the latest Canadian Medical Association Journal raises questions about the Canadian government's preparedness in dealing with infectious disease emergencies like SARS.

"We need to make public health a national priority," journal editor Dr. John Hoey - http://www.purevolume.com/search?keyword=John%20Hoey told the CBC's Melissa Fung.

"We need a federal, national public officer of health — a surgeon general — something like that, who can speak independently of the federal government, and can take into consideration solely the protection of public health," he said.

Hoey and others are calling for a Canadian equivalent of the Centers for Disease Control in Atlanta.

Hoey said it was fortunate that the SARS outbreak was in Toronto, a city with abundant medical resources.

Ontario is spending another $320 million on health-related SARS costs, bringing the province's total bill up to $848 million, but the head of the Registered Nurses Association of Ontario said she's disappointed that danger pay for nurses working in hospital SARS units wasn't included. Doris Grinspun notes that about 60 nurses have been diagnosed with possible, probable or definite cases of SARS, and "hundreds" have been quarantined, she told the Toronto Star.

So far, four hospital workers have been killed by severe acute respiratory syndrome in Hong Kong, where a total of 273 have died from the mystery illness so far.

Taiwan on Thursday reported 50 new cases of severe acute respiratory syndrome, its biggest rise in six days. Officials insist that Taiwan's outbreak is declining, and said Thursday's jump included 40 patients who earlier tested negative and were later reclassified as confirmed.

The increase came even as the World Health Organization said Taiwan was making "important strides" in controlling its SARS crisis — which came to a head later on the island than in other affected Asian countries. WHO cited Taiwan's new screening programs and fever clinics.

China Thursday reported two new deaths, bringing the mainland's total to 327. Authorities were trying to enforce controls against the spread of the virus in Beijing by threatening fines for people who evade health checkpoints or illegally enter quarantined areas.

At least 5,325 people on China's mainland are infected. Beijing has reported 176 deaths and has more than 2,500 people under quarantine.

Many activities in the capital are returning to normal, though officials haven't said when discos and other entertainment sites will be allowed to reopen. They were ordered to close a month ago at the height of the outbreak.

New penalties announced Wednesday night by the Beijing Joint Working Group for SARS Prevention and Treatment also include fines for 보령출장마사지 - https://www.boryeongmassage.club/ failure to properly disinfect areas where SARS cases have been found.

People who evade checkpoints, enter or leave quarantine areas without permission or hinder SARS-related investigations can be fined up to 200 yuan ($24) — equivalent to about one week's pay for the average Beijing resident.

The working group said companies that break the rules can be fined ten times that amount.

Police and volunteers in Beijing have been operating disease checkpoints since April, watching out for people with fevers or other symptoms.

Some have been spraying cars and trucks with disinfectant.

Checkpoints have also been set up at entrances to many buildings where people are made to disinfect their shoes.

China's Supreme Court said this month that people who cause death or serious injury by knowingly spreading the virus can face penalties ranging up to the death sentence.

It said patients who break quarantine can be imprisoned for up to seven years.

Severe acute respiratory syndrome has now sickened more than 8,200 people worldwide and killed about 750, with the biggest numbers in mainland China and Hong Kong.

Understanding Files

In the Desktop directory, as shown in the above example, there are 23 files and 7 directories, representing different file types. In Windows, you are familiar with files having icons that help represent the file type. In the command line, the same thing is accomplished by the file extensions. For example, "forum posts.txt" is a text file because it has a .txt file extension. Time.mp3 is an MP3 music file and minecraft.exe is an executable file.

Listing of file extensions and additional help with file extensions.

For most users, you'll only be concerned with executable files, which as mentioned above, is a file that ends with .exe and are also files that end with .com and .bat. When the name of these files are typed into the command line, the program runs, website - https://www.googlewiththis.com/ which is the same as double-clicking a file in Windows. For example, if we wanted to run minecraft.exe typing "minecraft" at the prompt runs that program.

Note: Keep in mind that if the executable file you are trying to run is not in the current directory you'll get an error. Unless you have set a path for the directory that contains the executable file, which is how the command line finds external commands.

If you want to view the contents of a file, most versions of the command line use the edit command. For example, if we wanted to look at the log file hijackthis.log we would type edit hijackthis.log at the prompt. For 64-bit versions of Windows that do not support this command you can use the start command, for example, type start notepad hijackthis.log to open the file in Notepad. Further information about opening and editing a file from the command line can also be found on the link below.

How to open and view the contents of a file on a computer.

Moving back a directory

You learned earlier the cd command can move into a directory. This command also allows you to go back a directory by typing cd.. at the prompt. When this command is typed you'll be moved out of the Desktop directory and back into the user directory. If you wanted to move back to the root directory typing cd\ takes you to the C:\> prompt. If you know the name of the directory you want to move into, you can also type cd\ and the directory name. For example, to move into C:\Windows> type cd\windows at the prompt.
Creating a directory

Now with your basic understanding of navigating the command line let's start creating new directories. To create a directory in the current directory use the mkdir command. For example, create a directory called "test" by typing mkdir test at the prompt. If created successfully you should be returned to the prompt with no error message. After the directory has been created, move into that directory with the cd command.

The small amount that does remain kills the bacteria

The federal program feeds 28 million low-income school children every day, but not all of them will be eating irradiated meat. Schools will not be required to put it on the menu, the official said, speaking on condition of anonymity. Still, the government must have it on hand for those that want it.

The agency will soon begin accepting bids from companies that want to supply the federal lunch program, the official said.

Congress last year ordered the department to start accepting irradiation as a method of sanitizing meat for the national school lunch program. The department itself deemed the technology safe in 1999 after concluding that its benefits - http://www.groundreport.com/?s=benefits — preventing food poisoning — outweighed the risk of any potential side effects.

Irradiation involves directing gamma rays produced by the radioactive material, cobalt 60, or electricity at meat to kill harmful bacteria. Research shows that most of the radiation passes through without being absorbed. The small amount that does remain kills the bacteria.

Thousands of parents and consumer advocates have protested the decision to allow schools to buy the sanitized meat for meals, expressing fears that too little is known about the long-term effects of continuous consumption of the product.

The consumer group Public Citizen argues irradiation could cause cancer, but studies have shown that irradiated food is safe.

Many doctors - http://www.broowaha.com/search/doctors and scientists strongly support the department's decision to put the special meat in the lunch program, say irradiation is effective in preventing deadly cases of food poisoning.

More than 5,000 people die each year from foodborne illness, according to the Centers for 무안출장안마 - https://www.anmatoto.com/19-muan Disease Control and Prevention. Children, the elderly and people with weak immune systems are especially vulnerable.

In 1997, the Food and Drug Administration deemed irradiation as a safe method of killing off bacteria that can cause food poisoning.

KABUL, Afghanistan - Afghan presidential candidate Abdullah Abdullah defiantly told thousands of supporters Tuesday that he will declare victory in the country's election, claiming massive fraud was responsible for preliminary results that put his rival in the lead. The United States warned both camps against trying to seize power, saying international financial and security support was at stake.

The turmoil came as violence escalated around the country. A suicide bomber struck Afghan and foreign forces near a clinic in the eastern province of Parwan, killing at least 16 people, including four Czech soldiers.

Abdullah said he received calls from President Barack Obama and U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry, and he was told that Kerry would be flying to the Afghan capital on Friday in a bid to help defuse the crisis. State Department officials accompanying Kerry in Beijing declined to comment on his travel plans.

Abdullah told his supporters that the results of the election were fraudulent, but asked them to give him a few more days to negotiate.

"We denounce and do not accept the results of the fraudulent vote. I assure you people of Afghanistan that I will sacrifice for you, but I will never accept a fraudulent government," he told his supporters, many angry over the result. "We announce that only the government elected through clean votes will come to power."

The Afghan Independent Election Commission on Monday released preliminary results from the June 14 runoff showing former finance minister Ashraf Ghani Ahmadzai well in the lead for the presidency but said no winner could be declared because millions of ballots were being audited for fraud.

According to the preliminary results, Ahmadzai had about 4.5 million votes, or 56 percent, while Abdullah had 3.5 million votes, or 44 percent. Turnout was more than 50 percent.

That was a sharp turnaround from the first round of voting on April 5 when Abdullah garnered the most votes with 46 percent to Ahmadzai's 31.6 percent but failed to get the majority needed to avoid a runoff vote - http://ajt-ventures.com/?s=runoff%20vote .

Abdullah has refused to accept any results from the second round until all fraudulent ballots are invalidated.

Ahmadzai, a U.S.-educated former finance minister and World Bank official, said he also had spoken to Kerry on the telephone.

"We welcome him (Kerry) coming here, but the real responsibility is up to us and we are hopeful that we will fulfill all our responsibilities," he said at a news conference at his home in Kabul. "We are prepared to engage in political discussion in order to make sure that we move to insure the legitimacy of the process, its fairness and the acceptance of its results."

He also rejected the idea of parallel governments, which has been raised by some Abdullah supporters.

"Talk of parallel governments will remain in the level of talk, because the historic responsibility that his excellency Dr. Abdullah and I as people who have submitted ourselves to the will of the people of Afghanistan have is to ensure the stability of this country and the legitimacy of the regime to which we have devoted our lives."

The election commission acknowledged that vote rigging had occurred and said ballots from about 7,000 more of the nearly 23,000 polling stations would be audited.

Abdullah charged that outgoing President Hamid Karzai, Ahmadzai and the election commission were colluding against him. "They ignored us and announced the fraudulent results," he said.

"People across the county have called on us to announce our government and I cannot say no to the people's wish," he said. "All of our lives we defended this country. We do not want crisis, we want national unity."

"We are the winner of the election without any doubt," he said.

Kerry said during a visit to Tokyo that any action to seize power illegally in Afghanistan would lead to the end of U.S. financial and security support.

Kerry said suggestions of a "parallel government" in Afghanistan were a grave concern and added that he expected Afghan electoral institutions to conduct a full review of all reasonable allegations of irregularities. He said there was no justification for violence or 속초출장마사지 - https://www.sokchoopmassage.club/ threats of illegal action.

"Any action to take power by extra-legal means will cost Afghanistan the financial and security support of the United States and the international community," Kerry said.

Abdullah said Obama had called him to promise help "in cleaning up votes."

The European Union and the U.N. urged the IEC and its sister complaints commission to cooperate on the audits.

The U.N. mission in Afghanistan also called on both candidates "to exercise restraint and take all steps necessary to control their supporters to prevent them from making irresponsible statements and from taking steps that could lead to civil disorder and instability."

Meanwhile, the Czech Ministry of Defense confirmed that four Czech troops were killed and another was badly wounded by Tuesday's blast.

At least 10 civilians and two police officers also were killed in the attack near the provincial capital of Charakar, local government spokesman Wahid Sediqqi said.

The Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack in a statement sent to the media.

With a plethora of options, the 2017 Ford F-150 starts in the basement, ends up in the penthouse

Emme Hall/Roadshow My test model King Ranch is only available with the larger SuperCrew cab and a five-and-a-half- or six-and-a-half-foot bed. Unlike the SuperCab, where the two back doors are rear-hinged, the SuperCrew features four traditionally hinged doors. It comes standard with all the leather and wood trim you could possibly want, heated and cooled front seats and heated rear seats. It still can function as a work truck with a power inverter, oodles of storage and a remote tailgate release.

This 3.0-liter diesel engine makes 250 horsepower and 440 pound-feet of torque, mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission. Towing an empty 5,040-pound horse trailer, the F-150 accelerates with adequate pace, and the 10-speed transmission -- tweaked specifically for diesel application -- keeps the truck in the heart of the torque band. With the trailer behind me, I have no trouble keeping my speed while climbing a 7-percent grade, and on the way down, the diesel engine kicks into lower gear so only light braking is needed to keep me at a steady 55 miles per hour.

The standard engine in the King Ranch is a 5.0-liter V8, but Ford now offers a 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6. At 375 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque, this engine puts out nearly as much horsepower and more torque than the V8. Unfortunately, my real-world fuel economy of 14.2 miles per gallon did not even come close to the EPA average rating of 20 miles per gallon. Apparently there is plenty of Boost in the twin-turbo engine, but not so much Eco.

The Lariat trim comes standard with adjustable pedals, dual climate control and leather trimmed seats. My tester has the optional heated rear seats and adisucipto standard heated and cooled front seats, but if you want to add that awesome massage seating, you'll have to bump up to the fancy-pants King Ranch.

Back it up, adi sucipto (www.adisucipto.web.id) you got it
The F-150 has some cool innovations to help towing newbies attach and back up a trailer. A checklist in the gauge cluster takes you through every step, so you won't forget an important part, but the real coolness is the F-150's Pro Trailer Backup Assist. As anyone who has towed knows, backing up a trailer involves a mental switch. If you want the rear of the trailer to go to the left, you must turn the steering wheel to the right. Pro Trailer Backup Assist takes this switch out of your brain. If you want the trailer to point more left, simply turn the dial located to the right of the steering wheel to the left and watch in amazement as the steering wheel moves in the opposite direction. You're still in control of brake, throttle and steering, but you're steering from a dial, not the steering wheel itself.

2017 Ford F-150
Out on a video shoot for the 2017 Ford F-150 King Ranch, adisucipto [www.adisucipto.Web.id] I went to reposition this luxury pickup, but the doors wouldn't open. After a pocket pat-down, I looked through the windows, and there was the key fob, sitting in the cupholder.

Towing and payload ratings can get a bit tricky, as it all depends on engine and drivetrain setup. An F-150 with the 3.5-liter EcoBoost and two-wheel drive can be outfitted to tow 12,200 pounds, or the equivalent of nearly five Ford Fiestas. That number is only bested by the Chevrolet Silverado, which can tow 12,500. The Nissan Titan and Titan XD, Toyota Tundra, Ram 1500 and GMC Sierra all fall below Ford's rating.

Options galore
It's easy to see why the F-150 is America's best-selling truck. The aluminum-bodied workhorse drives well on pavement, has excellent towing and hauling capabilities, adisucipto and comes with a whole slew of cab, engine, drivetrain and bed choices. You want a two-door cab with four-wheel drive, an eight-foot bed and a 2.7-liter engine? There's a model for that. How about a two-wheel-drive, four-door SuperCab with a six-and-a-half foot bed and a naturally aspirated V6? Yup, got you covered.

As for driving aids, the F-150 Diesel has optional adaptive cruise control that can apply brakes to both the truck and a trailer, keeping you at a set distance behind a lead vehicle. Available blind-spot monitoring also accounts for a trailer in tow. Simply input the trailer's length and the technology takes over, issuing a warning when a smaller vehicle is hanging out in your super-long blind spots.

The diesel engine in my 4x4 drivetrain is rated to return 20 mpg in the city, 25 mpg on the highway and 22 combined. Those numbers go up substantially in two-wheel drive: 22 mpg in the city, 30 mpg on the highway and 25 combined. However, during my time with the truck -- and the heavy shoes I seem to always wear -- I only net 19 mpg.

Still, the F-150 has it where it counts, with strong acceleration and surprisingly good handling. Don't get me wrong -- it's still a pickup truck with a solid rear axle, so expect a somewhat bouncy ride when unladen, but it isn't cringe-worthy around tight turns. The 3.5-liter engine is mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission, and while it sounds like overkill, its shifts are nearly imperceptible. The brakes feel strong and linear, not grabby at all. While the F-150 is at home on wide-open country roads, it's easy enough to drive in the city with the available blind-spot monitoring. Commuters will like the comfortable seats with -- get this -- a massage option.
